And a World to Carry On is the first play written about the life story of the underrated and relatively unrecognized singer/songwriter, Laura Nyro. Barbra Streisand, the Fifth Dimension, and Three Dog Night are among the artists that scored top ten hits with Ms. Nyro’s compositions. This story explores why Ms. Nyro never achieved superstardom, while achieving critical acclaim during the late 1960’s and 1970’s.
